Reminders...

  • Submit maximum of 10 pictures of your child to include a Baby, teen, family photo. These will be used at Graduation.
  • March 24th  - 8th Grade Cap and Gown Photos
Boys need to wear a white shirt and dark tie. We will provide the Cap and Gown for the Portrait.
  • May 18th – 8th Grade Trip to Orlando Parks
  • May 25th – 8th Grade Student Luncheon at Dave and Busters
June 2nd - 8th Graduation at 10:00 AM Elks Club (10301 SW 72nd St 33173).​

​​High School Admissions 2023-2024

Below you can download a list we have put together of private high schools that accept the Family Empowerment Scholarships. These are recommended schools and not a complete list of private high schools in Miami- Dade County. The list includes school contact information,  Open House Dates, and admissions test dates.  Visit each school's website for more information.
To request prior year’s report cards and SAT scores, email Ms. Angie and she will submit the documents directly to the high school.


Standard High School Diploma Requirements

The Florida Department of Education (Florida Statute 6A-1.09961) requires ​24 Credits for a High School Diploma.  Credits are composed of Core and Elective Credits. Core credits include:
  • 4 Math
  • 4 English
  • 3 Science
  • 3 Social Studies
  • 2 Foreign Language


​Public, Charter and Magnet High Schools

Students who are recipients of the Gardiner, Step- or McKay scholarship still have the option to apply to a Public, Charter or Magnet program in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Once enrolled, the student will no longer be eligible for any of these scholarships and will need to re-apply if they wish to transfer to a private school.
